In the 44 States of the European Patent Office

Marie-Paule Vandeberg is chemical engineer graduated from the UCL University, agronomy department and holds  the diploma "Patent Litigation in Europe" delivered by the University of Strasbourg.

She is European Patent Attorney since 1996, and Belgian Patent Attorney since 1997.  As such, she is entitled to analyze the validity of a European patent application covering potentially one or more of the 44 European countries in which the European Patent Office is competent (39 member States , 1  extension States, 4 validation States ) .

She is a technically qualified judge, part-time, at the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

Expert in Industrial Property and Patent since 1990

Management of patent applications portfolio, oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office, freedom to operate analyses and patent validity analyses, but also expert appointed by the court ... Marie-Paule Vandeberg is specialized in intellectual and industrial property issues, in particular in patents matter.  She works especially in the fields of industrial chemistry , chemical engineering , mechanical engineering, textile industry, buildings, etc.

Marie-Paule Vandeberg therefore offers its clients extensive expertise , both technical, legal, and strategic . Before creating MPV Patent, Marie-Paule Vandeberg held positions of Patent Attorney in private practice and in industries.

She is member of

  • UNION (European Practitioners in IP) and member of its litigation commission;
  • the AIPPI Belgian group;
  • AIALv, the association of bio-engineers of the UCL University;
  • FABI, the royal federation of associations of Belgian Engineers.
